Lisa Giles

Lisa leads the Industry Engagement team, responsible for developing relationships with a wide range of organisations; from well known employers to smaller companies, start-ups and third sector organisations. 

By encouraging employers to contribute to the design and delivery of the student experience at the College, our students gain the opportunity to learn from and experience a whole range of business perspectives. The team also has a specific focus on developing Degree Apprenticeship opportunities, working with a range of employer partners. Lisa has had a varied career, incorporating several changes of direction and spanning 30 years in the public, telecommunications, training and education sectors; both employed and self-employed. 

Roles have included Account Director, Business Development Director, Sales & Market Director, co-founder of a business development consultancy and Army Officer. Paying attention to and getting the best out of people has been the driver and the key source of enjoyment in her career to date.

She has a degree in English & French, is a qualified Executive Coach and a downhill ski instructor. 

Personal achievements include guest of honour at the Women of the Year Lunch, first ever female Team Captain of a Motorcycle Display Team, running 4 marathons and mother of 2 teenagers.
