At Escape Studios, we offer a range of courses covering Visual Effects (VFX), Game Art, Animation and Motion Graphics among other specialist disciplines. For each level, you can expect different lengths, fees, and entry requirements.

Undergraduate courses

Our undergraduate degree courses in Animation, VFX and Game Art are designed alongside leading studios to supply the industry with studio-ready graduates. You'll learn all-round creative skills as well as develop soft skills such as teamwork and organisation.

Key details

Course length: BA 3 years, MArt (integrated masters) 4 years, full time
Tuition fees: £9,250 per year for 2022 entry (student loans available)
Location: London campus
Entry requirements: Entry by portfolio and creative workshop.
If you are still studying then we base conditions of offer around your predicted grades.
Applicants who have already completed school should usually have a minimum of two passes at A Level or equivalent qualifications.
We are unable to accept international students onto undergraduate courses who require a student visa to study in the UK.

These courses could be suitable for you if you:
  • would like to get a degree qualification in a relevant field to the creative industries
  • do not have much or any professional experience in these fields
  • would like to try a bit of all three subjects in year one, before specialising in years two and three.

Our masters degrees in 3D Animation, Character & Creature Creation, Game Art, VFX and Storyboarding and Previsualisation can take your career ambitions to the next level and give you an edge in today's competitive job market.

Course length: 1 year, full time
Tuition fees: London campus: £17,995 / Live online: £15,450 (masters loan available)
Location: London campus or Live online
Entry requirements: An undergraduate honours degree in a related discipline or with a significant component in a related field.
Applicants without a degree who have significant industry experience in related creative subjects will be considered.
Suitable applicants will be asked to submit a creative portfolio.

These courses could be suitable for you if you:
  • have an undergraduate degree or some professional experience in the creative industries, and are looking to study at the highest academic level offered at Escape Studios
  • Want to receive personalised industry feedback from an expert in their field to help make sure you're studio-ready
  • are interested in creating connections through group projects and industry to kick-start your career.

Short courses

Our short courses in VFX, Animation, Games, Motion Graphics and Production are intense and designed to get you studio-ready in a matter of weeks.

Course length: 6 weeks - 20 weeks, full time or part time
Tuition fees: £796 - £15,950 (see individual course pages for exact fees)
Location: London campus or Live online
Entry requirements: A good understanding of written and spoken English, comfortable using a computer.

These courses could be suitable for you if you:
  • want to get straight into the industry
  • know exactly the role you would like to work in the industry (you can try a dedicated subject taster if you're not sure)
  • are an international student
  • are looking to study part-time while working. You could be a career-changer looking to re-train, or working in the industry and looking for CPD opportunities.
