What course did you study?

Animation Master Class with Andrew Gordon

How did studying at Escape Studios help you into the world of Animation?

They helped to inspire me at a time when I really needed it.  I also got to meet Andrew Gordon, who I am still friends with today.

What are you working on at the moment?

Currently on Coco (release date Nov. 2017), worked on TS3, Monsters University, Brave, Inside Out, Finding Dory. I did a lot of Riley shots on Inside Out.  Specifically the ones where she is crying at school, and also crying at the end.  I recently won an Annie Award for Best Character Animation on Feature Film for my work on Inside Out. I was out on maternity leave for a lot of Finding Dory, but I animated some shots of the parents at the end.

What's your favourite movie and why?

Inside Out- I just love the story and think it's a great message.

What lessons have you learnt during your time studying and your time working in the industry?

I have learned that it's important to always be growing as an animator.  There are constantly new challenges and new ways to improve.  It's also good to stay humble and accept feedback as much as you can.

How did studying at Escape Studios help you get into the industry?

It helped me to learn new acting and animation techniques that I used on a personal acting test for my demo reel.
