Fabrizio Arzani

What have you been up to since you left Escape Studios?

I have worked as a Freelance in production, but I’ve mainly focused on teaching VFX to students who want to enter into the industry.Teaching gives me the opportunity to keep up with new technologies and software instead of closing myself to a single department, plus nothing gives me more pleasure than watching my students getting jobs in companies such as MPC, Framestore, ILM, etc.

If you had to sum up your time at Escape Studios in one word what would it be and why?

One of the best in my life. Foremost whilst I was working there.

Where do you currently work? / What are you working on at the moment?

Production wise I’m lead 3D Artist for a movie called Ancestral World and I’m on a PS4 title I cannot mention (NDA). Teaching wise I am responsible for the courses at Event Horizon School and SAE Institute Milan.

What work are you most proud of working on and what is your most notable achievement?

There are so many I am proud of. One of them was being a Vfx supervisor on the 360 ad for the Dior’s Souvage campaign, working at Escape Studios.

What is it like to work as a 3D Artist?

Really demanding. Deadlines are short and technologies run really fast. You need to be really passionate about it because you never finish learning and if you want to be good at it or even just to be able to face problems when they come up you must keep yourself always updated. So love it! Because it’s going to be hard and there are no easy beautiful things.

What do you find most exciting about working in the creative industry?

It gave me the right method and the attitude needed to continuously improve as an artist.

What is your advice for those considering entering the industry?

Keep your head down on the PC. Love it, because it’ll be hard and if you don’t love it deeply, you might be great playing with 3d, but not working on it.

What course did you study?

VFX for production

Escape Studios gave me the right method and the attitude needed to continuously improve as an artist.
