How did studying at Escape Studios help you into the world of VFX?

Having studied VFX, working on industry inspired briefs, doing internships at DNeg, I could say that I was able to bring an understanding of VFX to the team that they may not have had before.

Where do you currently work and what are you working on at the moment?

I currently work for Pearson College London as a Marketing Assistant for Escape Studios. I create content for marketing the courses that Escape Studios provides in hopes of getting more students to realise how cool Escape Studios really is and join us as students! I’ve also just started studying the motion graphics course, getting more experience in different areas of the creative industry.

What is it like to work as a Marketing Assistant at Escape Studios?

It’s a very different type of creative that suits me more, and I’m glad I’m still in the comfort of the Escape Studios environment. Being able to promote the courses that I know will help other students the same way it’s helped me and my peers.

What do you find most exciting about working in the creative industry?

Being able to see all the cool, behind the scene work that goes into the best films!

If you had to sum up your time at Escape Studios in one word, what would it be and why?

Growth.

What's your favourite movie and why?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. I’ve always liked the Pirates of the Caribbean- it’s funny, great action and the visual effects are so realistic. But this movie in particular I could watch over and over again! The FX are amazing, with the water simulations, fire and explosions but most importantly- Capt. Salazar’s flowing hair and clothes.

What is your advice for those considering entering the industry?

The creative industry is rapidly evolving, and even on a daily basis, what you work on will never be the same as the day before! Get ready to work in a fast paced environment, but by doing something you’re passionate about, it should be exhilarating!

What course did you study?

B/Art The art of Visual Effects
