Since arriving back in the UK in 2012, Richard has worked in a number of Higher Education Institutes, including Trinity College, London, University College London, and London South Bank University as an English language examiner, EAP and Study Skills tutor and curriculum designer.

Richard's areas of expertise include Critical Discourse Analysis, Academic writing and helping students transition from secondary to tertiary education. He hopes as Study Skills Tutor to encourage students at Escape Studios to engage in reflective learning practices, increase their learner autonomy and grasp with both hands the numerous learning opportunities available to all students. He is a strong believer in the merits of a dialogic pedagogy in which learning is constant and multi-directional.
