Escape Studios, Europe’s leading VFX academy, part of Pearson College London, are calling on all budding filmmakers to take part in Escape Studios first ever VFX inspired short film project #Escape72Hours. Taking place virtually across 28th – 31st October, creativity, imagination and a desire to work with and learn from you peers are all that is required.

The 72-Hour Film Project is the first of its kind from Escape Studios, encouraging up-and-coming filmmakers and new talent to let their imaginations run wild, in this race against the clock. Hosted online this is an opportunity for recent graduates to put their skills to the test to create the best film to fit the theme and brief, as a way to build experience.

By entering #Escape72Hours teams will have the chance to win a fantastic prize package, including an exclusive premiere screening of their winning film to key industry names at Escape Studios, The VFX Festival 2017. Our influential key media partner 3D Artist will also interview the winning team, for a feature in the publication. Alongside these offerings, the winners will be granted an exclusive masterclass with one of Escape Studios expert tutors, where they will receive advice from one of the most experienced talents in the industry. The team will also be granted access to the brand new Escape Studios facilities in London to help develop their film further.

Escape Studios have confirmed a stellar line-up of judges, to review all film entries. Our panel includes industry experts from the world of VFX, including VFX supervisor Steven Begg, who has over thirty years experience supervising the visual effects on films such as 'Casino Royale', 'Skyfall', 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' and most recently 'Spectre'. Alongside Steve will sit a representative from Deluxe's Rushes, an award winning international VFX company, also known for their work on Spectre. From top film publication, and partner of the competition, we have Editor of 3D Artist, Stephen Holmes. Finally, from Escape Studios, industry experts Anita Gribble and Andrew Brassington will also be judging the entries.
