What is Access:VFX?

Access: VFX

ACCESS:VFX is a cross-company initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the VFX industry. Many VFX companies, educational organisations and bodies have come together to plan and create events to raise awareness and champion the important issue, helping to bring about change.

To celebrate the launch of ACCESS:VFX and as part of National Inclusion Week there will be an exciting week filled with talks, screenings, workshops and panel discussions. The events will take place across various locations and VFX studios throughout central London. We work with a number of industry partners to help design our courses, talk to our students and present at the VFX Festival and over the past few months we have worked alongside the Access: VFX team to plan workshops and talks and help with the organisation of the VFX and diversity movement.

Andy Brassington, Escape Studios’ Head of Strategic Projects

“It is hugely encouraging and inspiring to see the industry pulling together as one to create such a great programme and events for Access: VFX. the work this group is doing will challenge and change opinions about diversity in the workplace and I am really proud that Escape Studios is part of this team.”

About Escape Studios
A university education, powered by industry experience and built by the best industry minds.

Escape Studios are pioneering the next wave of visual effects artists, animators and game developers by transforming higher education. With industry engagement at its core, Escape Studios’ approach to industry-focused learning, is what sets it apart from the rest.

Escape’s 4000+ alumni (dubbed ‘Escapees’) include BAFTA and Oscar winners; they’ve worked on VFX blockbusters like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Jungle Book, Dr Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Captain America: Civil War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ex Machina, Interstellar and Gravity. They’ve also worked on bestselling games (Assassin’s Creed and Forza Horizon), award winning adverts, and some have even set-up their own studios.
