Dr Ian Palmer, Dean of Escape Studios said: “I am delighted with all the fantastic projects that students have created and, no surprise, many have been nominated for awards, been featured in festivals and have won prizes already. Students have shown great resilience and determination during these difficult times, as they completed their projects whilst at home with only remote access to our studios. We knew this year’s projects were going to be special, but I don’t think we could have predicted they would be so impressive under the circumstances. All our staff are very proud, and thanks goes to our industry partners for all the excellent advice and feedback given to our students, especially during the lockdown period. I would like to wish the students every success and have no doubts they will continue to win future awards.”

Escape Studios offer undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses in Visual Effects (VFX), Game Art, Animation and Motion Graphics. Students get the opportunity to work in industry-style studios using the latest tools and techniques and working as part of a team on high quality creative projects. They have intensive, hands-on tutorials with industry-trained tutors, who alongside creative professionals will provide regular feedback on students’ work.
