This September, we’re offering a brand-new online condensed Introduction to Data Science. The mini course will start with two days of live online sessions, followed by practical self-learning challenges which students can work on in their own time over the 2 weeks, and ending with a final workshop session of 3 hours with industry experts.
The two teaching days will consist of a series of topical sessions from which you can pick to attend live, just like a webinar or a virtual conference.
At the end of each topical module, a practical challenge will be introduced. Students will be able to pick from those challenges and work on them over the following two weeks to develop practical (coding, development, analytics, data visualisation, or other related practical data science) skills.
The goal of the whole course is for every student to pick one challenge on which they actually develop some tangible output. The final workshop will give students an opportunity to present (on a voluntary basis) their practical learning and coding results to the rest of the class and some guest Data Scientists from the likes of Uber, BBC and Rail UK for feedback and discussion.
