Think you’re ready to kick-start your career in Video Games? You’ve come to the right place. This one-day taster course lets you get an introduction to the art of 3D for games as well as explore what it’s like to work as a professional games artist.

Take your place in an environment that mirrors a standard industry games studio, and begin your introduction to the game art pipeline and the range of career choices you can aim to specialise in.
Your taster day will take place at our state-of-the-art, studio-style facilities in London and you’ll get a hands-on introduction to the software and hardware used by industry professionals.

Working with tools such as Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Epics Unreal Engine 4 you will get a hands-on introduction to 3D game art techniques such as creating and editing 3d models, UV’s, texturing maps, lighting, physics, destruction and of course testing by playing. The project you’ll be working on starts directly in The game engine where you learn how to manipulate objects and materials, how to interact and destruct objects. You will then export the game model in Maya and edit in 3D, change the textures in Photoshop and bring it back into the games engine to test and refine.

Our one-day taster course is a great way to experience life as a student here first-hand including how you’ll learn if you sign up to one of our courses and most importantly, how studying here can help you get that essential showreel to work in the industry.
