I joined Pearson College London in 2015 and it's been brilliant to have been part of its growth, not only in reputation, but also in actual student numbers. As Head of Student Services, most areas of student administration, from admissions and enrolment, through to graduation fall under my remit. I'm lucky to be leading a team who, like me, feel passionately about our students and our role in helping them achieve their potential.

KIM ROBINSON, Deputy Head of Student Services

I joined the Student Services team in 2018 and am primarily responsible for all areas of Assessments, Results and Graduation. I have 26 years’ experience of working within higher education central administration and hope that my experience will help with the continuing growth of the college. I manage a small team who deal with front line student queries and we work to ensure that students have the best experience during their time with us.

The Admissions department take applicants through from the point of application to enrolment. We review applications, organise Admissions Workshops and interviews and issue applicants with course offers. I manage the department, ensuring that our processes are effective, fair and current. We can advise on UCAS, apprenticeship and postgraduate applications, student finance and accommodation.

I joined Pearson College London in 2017 and it’s been great to see the college grow and witness students’ journey from meeting them first during an open day, all the way to graduation. I’m responsible for responding and assisting applicants with the application process in person, by email over the phone or in writing. I deal with queries relating to entry requirements, eligibility, qualifications queries and accommodation. I manage the College Professional Workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for both Escape Studios and Pearson Business School.

I joined Pearson College in 2018 and have worked in both the Admissions team and Student Administration team. My current role is Timetabling Manager which involves planning, scheduling and managing teaching timetables. I work closely with academic staff to create course, student and staff timetables, and also manage space allocation across the College. I am also on hand to provide support to the rest of the team where needed.

VICTORIA HAYES, Senior Student Services Administrator

I joined the Student Services team in January 2020, I provide support to students and help with any questions, queries or challenges they may be facing. I also coordinate assessments and assist with the preparation for the examination boards, while providing administrative support to the team.

Jessica Smith, student administration advisor

I began working at Pearson College in 2021, and was delighted to join the Student Services Team. I answer student queries in person, over the phone and by email, and I’m always happy to help in any way I can. I also provide general administrative support within the team.

I joined Student Services in November 2021 and I am excited to be part of the team. My role is to assist students with any enquiries they may have and help them with anything they may need, whether this is in person, over the phone or by email. My role also includes helping with administration tasks.

Hamza Saleem, student support administration manager

My role is to primarily provide support to students with additional learning needs. I offer support meetings to students which take place in a confidential setting. I also manage attendance monitoring at the College, authorising absences and contacting students if they are not attending classes.

I joined Pearson College in 2018. As Lead Student Counsellor, I run the free, confidential student counselling support service at Pearson College London. If you are facing any challenges or difficulties in your life that are impacting you personally or academically, you may find it helpful to make an appointment to see us. I recognise that asking for help is not always an easy thing to do. You may find though, that talking to someone experienced who is completely separate to your family, social group and tutors, can help you to figure out ways to manage the difficulties you might be facing.

My counselling approach is to work collaboratively with clients to find the methods and tools that work best for them as an individual. You can refer for counselling via MyPCL or here.

My role within the Student Services Team here at Pearson College is to provide Integrative Humanistic Counselling support to our students. I aim to help facilitate them to process and work through any individual issues or concerns that may be troubling them, whether they be linked to their home life or academic study.

I do this by utilizing a variety of creative techniques and counselling interventions, whilst offering an empathetic ear when they need it the most. I strive to provide a safe, impartial, and non-judgmental space in which to explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviours, with a goal of giving them increased autonomy in their lives.

This service is free, confidential, and available to any student wishing to access support. You can refer for counselling via MyPCL or here.
