Student Life

From student clubs to societies, there's something for everyone. Find out more about the student experience at Pearson Business School and Escape Studios!

Student Experience

Who are the Pearson College London, Student Experience team? Well, they are your best friends during your time here. Studying can be stressful and the pressure can build but luckily you’ll have the Student Experience’s support throughout.

Supporting you through your studies

They are on hand from the very start to make sure your enrolment and settling process goes as smoothly as possible. During your studies their main aim is to ensure you get the help and information you need and hey, if they can’t, they will find out who can! Student Experience look after Escape Studios. One might say opposites attract and it really is a perfect pairing.

The team cares about everyone in the College and they are advocates for regular wellbeing workshops. You should always come first and they are here to guide you along both your academic journey and through any doubts you may feel during your studies. Despite the informative and supportive nature of Student Experience, the College also has an amazing on-site counselling team to support you whenever you need. Academic success is strongly interlinked with your personal health!

Events and get-togethers

There is more to life than studying, and the Student Experience team wants to elevate every aspect of your experience because, what is the saying again… “All work, no play makes Jack a dull boy”? With that in mind, they have an amazing array of events and social get-togethers that they put on just for you!

From bus parties to amazing student work showcases (of what could be your amazing work if you join Escape Studios), it’s safe to say these diverse events are what underpins the identity of our college and really makes our students' creativity stand out. Whether it’s the unique annual welcome week for new students or the hugely successful creative writing and drawing clubs, there will always be a niche you can relate to.

The independent events aim to cater for the specific interests of our students.

Cinema screenings – they’ve hired out cinemas for each of the three recent Star Wars films and the Incredibles 2. The team even had guests from Industrial Light & Magic and Pixar to answer students' questions afterwards! (Where else can you get this sort of engagement?!).

Pearson College Student Association

Without the students, none of this would make sense which is why our students created The Pearson College Student Association (PCSA). The PCSA is a student-led organisation that is run by students, for students and is a major part of student life here at Pearson College London.

The PCSA oversees all the student clubs and societies so believe us when we say there's something for everyone - whether you want to gain experience, make friends or simply just try something new. Any student can join any club or society regardless of their previous experience and if you don't spot something you fancy then, why not start up your own!

The PCSA also hosts many events throughout the year such as their Summer Bash party and a variety of great charity events - bringing together all the amazing Escape Studios students. Like all the other events you have heard about, these range extensively too. For instance the famous boat parties, games nights, charity fun runs, football and who could forget the annual Christmas and Halloween Parties!

Current student societies include LGBTQ+, Afro-Caribbean, Asian, E-sports, Games Nights, Women in Business, Model United Nations, Dance, Football and many more! Got ideas for a new club or society? PCSA can help you, and other like-minded students, set up your own club.

The 2021 PCSA Team is working hard to create a student life that everybody can enjoy. From our sports teams to our mentorship scheme, we are delivering more and more every year to give our student body as many opportunities to get involved as possible. We’re partnered with a variety of charities to raise funds through our charity events. Our societies are ever-growing with a new rework of the LGBTQ+ society and Women in Business society, as well as brand new societies such as TableTop, Character Design and Asian society. Additionally, we have our regular student events now featuring online games nights and quizzes as well as movie nights on our brand new Discord server.

Escape Studios Studio Assistants

Unfortunately, student life can’t just be one big party (crazy, right?) but life in the classroom can be fun too. Our amazing Studio Assistants are an invaluable part of the team and are always around to ensure you are all on the right track.

They are on-hand during class, providing support covering everything from software questions, to work feedback, to shot/portfolio advice, and problem-solving. As Escape Studios alumni, our Studio Assistants have been through it all before, making them the perfect people to help and understand every step of your potential course.
