How did studying at Pearson College London help you get into the world of business?
Pearson College London helped hone my skills which enabled me to get my current job. The relatively high work load and independence granted at Pearson College London ensured I was fully prepared when starting my career.
What are you working on at the moment?
I'm currently working at Snapchat in the Advertising Operations team, this involves campaign pre-planning, quality control, trafficking, and campaign measurement along with supporting the sales process through daily traffic analysis, campaign optimisation and reporting.
After graduation, I worked in Advertising Operations for Zapp360 a mobile ad tech company who are revitalizing a crowded and confused market with easy to make and unobtrusive mobile ads. Working alongside blue-chip companies such as Morrisons, BBC and B&Q shaping the way they are seen in digital was great fun.
What lessons have you learnt during your time studying and your time working in business?
Work work work. The more you put in the more you get out. This is definitely the case in business and most definitely helps while studying.
What was your favourite part of studying at Pearson College London?
Meeting like-minded ambitious people who wanted to succeed. The lecturers who are immensely experienced in their field of work, which allows for a better overall learning experience.
If you had to sum up your time at Pearson College London in one word, what would it be and why?
Confidence. Pearson College London gave me the confidence and belief that I would be able to achieve great things. The support from lecturers and colleagues allowed for my confidence to flourish.
What's your favourite brand and why?
RedBull. They have taken a relatively mundane product and created an amazing adrenaline fuelled brand. Utilising social media as their main point of contact and combining with major sporting stars such as Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn, they have connected with their audience better than most major brands. Through this they have inspired many people to get out and try new sports that they may have never thought to do.
Any advice for students looking to start a career within business?
Get as much work experience as you can. Networking at every event and don't be scared to introduce yourself. You never know, they might help you get your next job!
