Louise Marshall, Marketing Executive at Haddon & James
What was your favourite part of studying at Pearson College London?
Without a doubt it would have to be the smaller class sizes and ability to really get toknow your tutors. Compared to other universities where you just become a number, here you feel valued and appreciated. Being able to become friends with your tutors helps to create a great working environment, you feel you can go to them with any query or issue and they want to help in any way they can!
How did studying at Pearson College London help you get into the world of business?
Aside from the incredible industry days, events and opportunities to experience the ‘realworld’, Pearson College London helped me to really understand what I wanted to do as a career. The incredible support and encouragement throughout my 3 years provided a clear route to what I wanted to do and what I want to achieve!
Where have you gone on to work and what will your role be?
I’m a Marketing Executive at Haddon & James, a wholesale online Auction House. They’ve never had any real marketing department so I’ve been given a lot of responsibility in creating it. I work across all social media platforms, website development, general day to day tasks and currently I’m creating the marketing strategies and materials for launching our new brand.
If you had to sum up your time at Pearson College London in one word, what would it be and why?
There is no other university like it. From the class sizes to the industry focus to the way in which we’re taught, any other university wouldn’t be able to pull it off. Being able to gothe head offices of Unilever, Salesforce and the Ministry of Defence (just to name afew!) you’re given a taste of what it’s like to work for companies such as those. That taste then becomes a reality with Pearson College London, who help give you the tools and skills to be able to get a job anywhere you put your mind to!
What's your favourite brand and why?
Innocent! Not only do they create great tasting drinks, they have created such a personable brand that really tries to tackle social issues and generally brighten people’s days!
