Jackie Sheldon

Jackie trained and qualified as a solicitor at Taylor Wessing, an international law firm. She worked in their London offices for a number of years in their projects team, before moving to specialise in mergers and acquisitions (including private equity) at another international firm, working out of the North West.

Jackie left corporate practice after 10 years to follow a love of teaching and has been writing and teaching company and business law modules since 2006. Jackie is passionate about teaching - both in the classroom and online (and focused her final portfolio for her professional teaching training qualification around student engagement in online teaching). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is qualified to teach up to masters level.

In her spare time, she keeps fit running around after her two sons, attempting to run in the hills of the Peak District and training towards a black belt in kick boxing - only one more belt to go! She also uses her corporate knowledge practically as she is honoured to be on the board of directors of a large nationwide charity.
