Ritchie leads lectures and seminars for our Principles of Business, Industry Studies and Organisational Behaviour modules. He is an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced lecturer with both academic and industry experience, who tries to bring insights from both these areas into the classroom. His hands-on teaching style gives our students the chance to solve real-life problems that have a lasting impact on business and society.
He currently runs his own marketing consultancy and has worked for a range of global financial institutions, including HSBC, RBS Insurance and Direct Line Group, in a variety of marketing and strategy roles. His most recent role was Head of Retention & Customer Loyalty Strategy at Direct Line Group.
Ritchie has a Masters degree in Strategy and Innovation from the Cambridge Judge Business School, a Masters degree in Business from Edinburgh University Business School and an undergraduate honours degree in Financial Markets from Manchester Business School. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Financial Services Marketing where he critiques and advises the journal on academic paper submissions, and is also studying for an MBA at Warwick Business School.
