It’s crazy to think that it’s been 8 months since I found out my A-Level results which confirmed I was heading to Pearson College London. It’s strange because whilst time has flown by, it also seems a lifetime ago that I was studying at school. What a good 8 months it's been; meeting new people, experiencing London life and of course, most recently becoming President of the PCSA!

Since joining Pearson College London, I realised that as students we have a very real and unique opportunity to shape our experience. This is at the heart of why I ran for President this year, to encourage positive change throughout all aspects of Pearson College London student life.

Whilst its important to look towards the future, it's also important to look back at the previous PCSA; Sophie and her team have done a fantastic job for us over the last academic year and provided us with lots of memories. There is no doubt that there are big shoes to fill and expectations will be high. But, with our new team (Tom, Florence, Kim, Jayna, Rea, Maggie, Ella, Anisa and Alexa) I am more than confident we can do this!

My vision for this year is to really open up the student voice.  I want our students to come to the PCSA with ideas and then we can facilitate them. This will lead to higher turn outs for events and an overall better student experience. I also believe this can go further than for just events, this is easily transferable to the education and societies at Pearson College London.

In the next few weeks you will hear more from myself and the team as we begin to familiarise ourselves with the current system and begin to shape the new PCSA.
