A warm welcome from Tom, our new PCSA Vice President!

Tom Cowley

Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Tom Cowley the recently appointed Vice President of the Pearson College London Student's Association (PCSA).

We have a special guest joining us tomorrow evening at 80 Strand after the debating club event.

I wanted to be a part of the PCSA because I believe I can make a positive contribution to the association as a leader, and a team player through the engagement of people.

Winning the election felt marvellous, I would personally like to thank everyone who voted for me. I have great confidence in the new PCSA team, and passionately believe that myself, James and the team can make a genuine difference to the student experience. I have a clear vision for the future of our Student Association: to enhance our student experience, through helping to establish a greater number of all inclusive activities, societies and events to benefit all Pearson College London students. By collaborating with the recently appointed channel heads and president we can implement this new strategic vision to deliver what the students want!

My initial ideas and plans are:

Sports! I know a lot of the students want some more weekly sports societies (football, netball ect), so this is a top priority of mine.

Bring Back the Foodies Society! I think this is a great way to bring all the students together, for a nice and easy monthly social event. Each month we will eat out at a different restaurant and have a great time!

Increased One Off Events! This includes things like going to the cinema, theatre and paint balling!

Debating! We can definitely have some more debates, especially with the upcoming referendum!

This is a small insight into what I hope to achieve as the new Vice President of PCSA. So join me, and believe in my vision, so we can work together to enhance our student experience!
