Tom Cowley, PCSA Vice President, provides a new year update about the activities of the PCSA so far - including freshers, new societies and the Christmas Party!
"Hello fellow students,
Happy New Year! Over this past year, the Pearson College Student Association (PCSA) have organised a number of successful events that have helped drive student engagement.
We started the year with Freshers, welcoming our new students to the University with a five day programme of events. Our programme kicked off with drinks at the Student Central Bar, where we all had chance to meet each other, before going on to a great night at Tiger Tiger. Another fun event very well received, was our visit to the Oxygen Trampoline Park. We all had a great time revisiting our youth, and thankfully all left injury free! Our Freshers programme concluded with the fabulous ‘Boat Party’ down the river Thames.
The PCSA are here to listen to your ideas for new societies and events. Some of the new societies we have created include: Football and Netball, which are proving to be popular. The University also runs additional societies, such as Investment Banking. The PCSA supports two charities, Toy Bank India and Mind UK. Two of the fundraising events we held, were Junkyard Golf and The Santa Dash. Both of which raised much needed funds for our chosen charities.
We ended 2016 on a high, with our annual Christmas Party at the Foundation Bar in Covent Garden. Everyone turned out in their finest attire, where we ate, drank and partied until the early hours! A big thank you to everyone who has supported the PCSA, and we look forward to the year ahead."
