At Pearson Business School we make sure everything that we do is connected to industry and as part of their degrees our students have the chance to build their professional networks at industry workshops led by some of the world's most reputable organisations.
On Friday 23rd November our undergraduate students attended an industry workshop held at the Barbican Centre and led by one of the worlds biggest and most recognisable companies, Microsoft. Joining Microcoft was Global Tech Giant and Mediacom Global Communications Company who all helped discuss the importance of digital skills in the 21st Century. This event was designed to help students find out more about the options they could face after graduation, get invaluable advice that will help them succeed and develop the soft they need in today's graduate market.
The day was split into two parts. In the morning there was a presentation from Microsoft, a panel discussion (including Mediacom) and a Q&A for students to ask any questions they have about the presentation or more general questions about careers and advice. The students also learnt about developing their personal brands, the future of tech from Oracle Sandro Scarsach and augmented reality and virtual reality from Joanna Webb.
