Pearson College London in top 5% in UK for graduate employment

A recent graduate survey reveals that Pearson College London is one of the top 20 institutions in the UK (18th out of 378) for its graduates entering full-time employment, placing the College in the top 5% in the UK.

The Graduate Outcomes survey, from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), asked graduates what they were doing approximately 15 months after finishing their studies. Of those respondents graduating from Pearson College London in 2017/18:

  • 93% are in further study or employment (national average is 90%)
  • 89% are in employment or unpaid work (national average is 81%)
  • 73% are in full-time employment (national average is 59%)

When surveyed on classification of occupation, approximately 89%* of respondents were already in highly skilled employment.

Dr. Roxanne Stockwell, Principal of Pearson College London, said: "As part of our mission for in-depth industry engagement, our students leave Pearson College London feeling prepared for the workplace and ready to embark on a long and fulfilling career. We have many employers from start-ups to FTSEs who are keen to work with our academics and students in both curricula and extra curricula activities. This creates a great learning landscape with lots of ways of engaging professionally. These results show just how much this benefits students.

“I’m delighted to see that these latest graduate figures are reflective of our industry-informed degree programmes, which support our students for real success in the workplace. We are extremely proud of our alumni and it’s wonderful to see such a remarkable proportion going straight into highly skilled roles. This builds on our employment data in the previous DLHE survey results which also showed a very high number of our graduates in highly skilled work.”

Pearson College London offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, degree apprenticeships and short courses across a range of subjects in business, technology and the creative industries.  The Graduate Outcomes data for the College includes students graduating from across both Pearson Business School, and Escape Studios.
