Message from the Principal - September start update
A message from our Principal
I want to provide an update on our current position regarding the opening of the College campus in September. I made a number of commitments in my previous statement and all those points still apply.
I am very pleased to say that with the easing of social distancing guidelines we are now feeling confident that we should be able to provide a range of on-campus activities. We are currently planning the scope of these and consulting with our current students. As the use of campus space will be restricted, we want to make sure we prioritise what is of most use and value to our students, while taking into account practicalities and safety.
Although we are very pleased that on campus teaching is now feasible, it remains the case that government guidelines and other regulatory expectations change frequently. All the plans are based on what is permitted by government guidelines as of today. Therefore, we will all need to remain adaptable over the course of the academic year. We have already proven that as a community of students, tutors and staff, we are capable of making rapid changes when necessary.
The important thing is that whatever happens you will all be able to commence or progress with your studies and be confident that we will offer as much on-campus activity as is safe and permissible. But you can also continue online if you prefer. You can also be confident that our online provision is comprehensive and includes not just teaching, learning, and assessments, but also social events and employer engagement opportunities and student support services.
As ever, if you have any questions please contact our team, who are always very happy to help: firstname.lastname@example.org
