Pearson’s Max Tavinor-Kearney wins the Rising Star Award in the South East Regional Apprenticeship Awards
This year’s National Apprenticeship Awards Regional finalists were announced in November and Pearson Business School Degree Apprentice graduate, Max Tavinor-Kearney, has been awarded as the winner of the Rising Star Award in the South-East region.
Now in their 17th year, the National Apprenticeship Awards celebrates the successes of employers and apprentices across the country. Over 1,100 entries were received for the 2020 nominations covering nine award categories.
The virtual regional award ceremonies took place in the first week of November where the finalists were announced who will all progress to the National Awards taking place on Wednesday 25th November.
A spokesperson for the National Apprenticeship Awards said: “The Rising Star Award aims to commend apprentices that have made impressive progress on their career to date.”
Max works for Pearson Plc in Oxford as a Business Development Manager. His apprenticeship has allowed him to gain a first-class degree in Business Management and has provided him with invaluable practical skills which has led to numerous promotions.
Upon starting his apprenticeship, he worked as a Customer Success Consultant in the UK Schools business and now works within Pearson’s rapidly growing Virtual Schools unit.
His apprenticeship has allowed him to develop managerial skills laying the foundation to think strategically. Max has also set a great example where he has mentored several apprentices and has been an Apprentice Ambassador for Pearson.
Max Tavinor-Kearney said: "I’m both shocked and elated to have won the Rising Star Award for the South East. I have gained so much from my time on my apprenticeship and it's really nice to see this recognition as part of the National Apprenticeship Awards. It's great to be able to give back to the amazing Pearson Apprenticeship Team, supportive managers/mentors and of course the exceptional staff at Pearson College London."
