Latest updates on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

We will regularly be updating these news webpages with important information.

Following government guidance, we’re pleased to confirm that face-to-face teaching will take place at Pearson Business School and Escape Studios for all students from the start of the Autumn 2021 term. Welcome Week and Freshers activity will take place in the week commencing 13 September and teaching will commence the following week.

Pearson Business School

We are delighted to confirm that we will move back to a full face-to-face model for seminar teaching in the week commencing 20 September 2021. Following a consultation with students, all lectures will be recorded and available on demand rather than being timetabled sessions.

Escape Studios

Whilst we have been able to have students in-studio for some time, under the latest guidelines we are looking forward to getting back to full-time face-to-face studio teaching for all students in the week commencing 20 September 2021. Whilst we were amazed by how well everyone adapted to the circumstances of lockdown and online study, we know that it’s no substitute for working in the studio on our workstations and having the ability for impromptu discussions with fellow students and staff in the studio or during a break.

Guidance for all students

All new and returning students have been sent all the necessary information ahead of the start of the Autumn Term, along with a Covid Secure Campus Guide detailing important safety measures when on campus. We are strongly encouraging students to take a Lateral Flow Test twice a week - every three days or before they are due to come in for class. This is in accordance with government guidance for university students and is intended to keep everyone safe and to minimise the risk of outbreaks that could result in temporary building closure.

We also encourage all students and staff to receive Covid-19 vaccinations. Getting vaccinated is an important part of protecting ourselves, our friends, family and community from Covid-19. Details about booking a vaccine can be found here

Students with any concerns can contact Student Services at or 020 7190 4312, from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

If we receive further guidance, we will of course share further updates on teaching with all our students and on these news pages. We can’t predict how the new academic year will develop, but whatever happens we’ll continue to do our utmost to make it a positive learning experience for our students!

We look forward to welcoming everybody back to campus!
