Following the UK Government’s announcement made on 4 January 2021 and in line with current government guidance, all scheduled teaching at Pearson College London until at least mid-February 2021 will take place online.
The campus will therefore not be open for on-site teaching provision until mid-February at the earliest.
Asymptomatic Testing for COVID-19 at University of London
PCL is participating in the University of London’s mass COVID 19 testing scheme designed to test asymptomatic students and staff and to support a safe return to education. However, due to the delay to the start of onsite teaching any staff or students who have booked a test should cancel it now. The confirmatory email you were sent when you first booked your test includes a link to cancel and it is important you do so now. The testing should only be used currently by students and staff on programmes such as medicine which are permitted to return to onsite teaching - cancelling a test you can’t use means that the test is available to someone else who needs it.
We expect the testing to be extended well into February/March and you will be able to rebook a test when it is possible to return to onsite teaching.
Reminder that all students and staff must notify the College if they are self-isolating or have tested positive for COVID-19.
All PCL students and staff are reminded that they must contact Student Services immediately (via the contact details
below) if they are either self-isolating as a result of COVID-19 or have received a positive test, regardless of whether they have been on-site.
We are in regular contact with our student and staff community and will communicate any updates or changes to this provision via email, our student newsletters, and on this webpage.
