Attending industry events, and having hands-on experience with our industry partners, exposed us to fast-paced business environments and real business challenges that graduates will face in the world of work

Florence Stanton, Digital Programme Advisor at Shell

Business Management with Marketing alumnus

The industry days were great to gain insight into the potential roles and variety of jobs and organisations that are out there! Take every opportunity given to you, and then search for more. To get ahead of the competition you have to be willing to take risks and put yourself out there.

Sophie Hawkins, Business Consultant at IBM

PBS alumnus

Industry days, career events and talks, studying in a corporate environment, as well as the nature of the course assignments, have provided me with an all-round experience of understanding the business world better. Linking to my role now- the nature of our assignments and the work required to complete these helped to form a more analytical mindset and to ask 'why' more.

Heres a taste of what to expect:

Industry Challenges

Real-world learning starts during your first week. As part of Welcome Week, you’ll take part in an industry challenge with a real business. You’ll work in teams on a project and then pitch your ideas back to the company. We’ve previously had challenges from Shell , Boots, Satalia , The Post Office , Apple and many more. The quickest way to learn is to try for yourself and there will be business challenges throughout your degree.

Make it your own

We encourage and welcome ideas from our students. Ultimately your feedback and participation will shape your experience at Pearson College London. We want to work with you so you leave with a CV packed with examples, talking-points and experience. From winning the L’Oreal Brandstorm competition, to presenting their research projects at Harvard University, to having lunch with senior managers at Deloitte – we work with our students to create unique opportunities that make them stand out.
